Julie Min Jeong Kim, A.P., L.Ac, graduated with the highest honors as a Summa Cum Laude in Master of Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the State of Florida and recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as an Acupuncture Physician (FL License# AP3769).
Additionally, to expand her skills combining her meticulousness and her artistic talents, Jules also holds a FL State tattoo artist license and is certified by the world renowned Swiss Color International as a Microblading Artist.
Maria Balladares, A.P., L.Ac, MT and Jules went to school & graduated together. She is an excellent acupuncturist and massage therapist. You will be in great hands if you get a treatment from her. A note from Jules…..
My love for healing, wellness, skin care, beauty and the practice of eastern medicine comes from a very personal place. In my teens to early adult hood I struggled with severe anxiety, extremely irregular menstrual cycles, which also led to painful cystic acne. Then, diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), which I was told by an endocrinologist and gynecologist there was no cure.
After going through many trial and errors with prescription meds, birth control pills and numerous skin care products to alleviate these symptoms, although some helped, some led to other really unwanted side effects. I was so fed up with having to take synthetic hormones and prescriptions every day for so many years. I had a revelation that I need to give my body a chance to regulate and heal on its own as nature intends. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands to search for holistic alternatives, which led me back to my roots in Eastern Medicine and making simple yet huge improvements in my nutrition.
That’s when everything changed drastically.
After college, I moved to NYC to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Although, fashion and creativity is still very much a part of who I am, I realize how much more rewarding and fulfilling it is to be able to help and assist people in healing and optimal health. So, I took a chance and left the big corporate world in NYC to pursue my long time passion that’s been brewing to become a practitioner in holistic medicine. I’m not just a practitioner, I continue to benefit tremendously with my own healing, which has made me a strong believer to pursue it. I am the living proof!
A dedication to having tried endless skin care products and experimenting with creating my own natural products and acupuncture treatments, I have also finally learned to preserve my youthful glow in addition to regulating my "moon" aka Menstrual cycles. Today my body works perfectly like it should. No symptoms of PCOS nor irregular cycles and my skin looks better than ever. Unbelievable right?! If we suffer with our health on the inside it is impossible to have a healthy glow on the outside. I believe that our bodies are more powerful and more intelligent than we were ever taught to believe. Eastern Medicine along with proper nutrition can promote the body’s natural abilities to heal from the inside out.
